What is estate jewelry?
In a nutshell, estate jewelry is jewelry that has been previously owned. It could be antique, vintage, or even something from last year. Knowing that the jewelry I sell is previously owned, there are likely to be signs of wear and love. I do bring each piece to my fabulous bench jeweler for inspection and needed repairs before I make them available to sell. Please inspect photos closely, as I always try to show if there are scratches, dents, etc. Personally, I think all these things add to the character of the piece. Are your pieces real gold?
Yes, they are! I don’t buy gold-filled or gold-plated jewelry. I test each piece, and I will always disclose the karat in the description. Also, because many of my pieces are older, the shades of the gold will take on different patinas. I never polish pieces, so if you want something polished and shiny, then I recommend taking it to your local jeweler to have that done.

Do you sell sterling silver?

I do occasionally sell specific pieces of sterling silver jewelry if they are of amazing design and quality.

Do you offer ring sizing?
I do not offer this, as it’s much better to have this done by your local jeweler with your own hand/fingers present.

Do you charge tax?
California residents will be required to pay 9.63% sales tax.

How do you ship?
I ship Fed Ex, fully insured, two-day, signature required. I try to ship within two days of purchase. If there are any delays, I will contact you directly. The cost for shipping is as follows:

  • Up to $2500 is $30 (domestic)
  • $2500 and up is $50 (domestic)
  • International shipping is based on a case-by-case basis, usually around $100

Do you take returns?
I always want my clients to love their new acquisitions, and I know buying a piece of jewelry or an object you haven’t seen in person comes with some challenges. If you receive an item you wish to return, you need to notify me at Amy@TheCuratedJewelryBox.com within 24 hours and ship it back, fully insured, within three days. Assuming the item is in the same condition as when I sent it, I will refund you the total amount, minus shipping and transaction fees.
